Session 1
Please read the following info for everything you will need to know for session at Kids Inc Camp...
Parent Info - Dear Parents - it is very important that you know not only what is going on each week with our programing but also that you know our rules and regulations at Kids Inc Camp for both parents and campers. In order to run the most safe and effective program we can you will need to know everything that you can. Please read our Parents Handbook to learn more. Thanks!
Every Day - At Kids Inc Camp we sell freezies and we also have a Snack Hut. These items are for General Campers and LIT's only. During Extended Hours PM freezies will be sold to all children who are in the Extended Hours PM program including Mini Campers. Please note that Jumbo Freezies are $1.00 and most Snack Hut items are also $1.00. Kids Inc Camp sells hats, t-shirts, and water bottles too! Please ask your bus counselor OR ask us at camp how to purchase yours today! Thank you.
Tuesday - NOTE ABOUT GENERAL CAMP - Each and every Monday we put your child into a "cabin group" - this will be their home base for the week from Monday to Thursday at camp. Of course we know that many of you have requested "buddies" for your child/ren who are attending. Every effort will be made to put your child with their buddy if they are the correct ages - however - we do need to remind you that these are requests and not guarantees. We will do our bast to make these matches but we do ask you to keep in mind that our program is unique and your child will be able to make activity choices and spend plenty of time with other campers who are not in their "cabin group". Please contact our office for any buddy request issues as we would be happy to discuss them with you. 519-855-6074.
Tuesday - All General Campers will have a swim test today. Once the campers have been tested they will get a swimming wrist band that needs to be kept on all week long. If this band comes off or is taken off during the week you will need to send the band along with a note from home telling us why the band is off in order to get a new one. If a child comes to camp without the band and without a note from home we do have a 10 minute waiting period prior to issuing new bands as our first priority at the beginning of each swim time is the safety of the children changing and getting into the pool. Administrative tasks will be taken care of after the 10 minute waiting time. Thank you!
Wednesday - WACKY WEDNESDAY!!!!! - Wednesday is Wacky Wednesday. This week we ask you to send your camper dressed in their beach wear. This Wednesday is Wacky Beach Day. Please send regular camp clothes so that your camper can change into them after our Wacky Wednesday is complete.
Wednesday - Picnic Lunch and Campfire - these events are for all campers including Mini Camp, General Camp and LIT's . We will be taking our lunch out into a nice quiet picnic spot in the park and after lunch we will have a campfire complete with roasted marshmallows!
Wednesday - Softball/T-ball - General Campers who wish to bring a baseball glove for a game of softball or t-ball are welcome to do so.
Friday - MAIN EVENT. This weeks Main Event is THE DEMOLITION ZONE!! Pre-registration is required.
Please note the following points for all Kids Inc Campers...
#1 - All parents should have read the Parents Handbook!
#2 - Dress your camper for the weather every day! If it is cool out you must dress your child in layers so that they will be comfortable and able to participate in the morning when it is very cool right into the afternoon if it should warm up. if you have any questions about this you are asked to call us at 519-855-6074. We are an outdoor program!
#3 - If you need to make changes to your registration you must do so at lease 1 week prior to your child's attendance at our program. No changes will be made on the week of your child's attendance.
#4 - If you wish to add pizza, lunch program, or add rock climbing to a registration you must do so at least 1 weeks in advance of your child attending our program.
#5 - T-shirts, hats, and waterbottles will be for sale at camp every Monday of our program. We take cash and credit cards for these items.
#6 - If you have any other questions about our program you are asked to e-mail or call our office as soon as you can to get your questions answered.
